Eligibility Requirements
Cool Dog Ranch has strict standards to ensure the safety and well-being of each of our dog visitors. Please understand that your dog must be very well-socialized with other dogs of all sizes and temperaments and have a good history of socialization within play groups. Any history of aggression or behavioral issues towards dogs or humans will deem your dog ineligible for attendance.
All dog visitors must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 4 months old
- Spayed/neutered by the age of 6 months old
- Be current on the following vaccinations:
- Bordetella (6 month or annual)
- DHPP (annual or 3-year)
- Rabies (annual or 3-year)
- Be parasite-free and in good health (flea/tick program recommended)
- Be able to get along with dogs of different sizes and temperaments
- Be able to be handled by our staff
Meet and Greet Process
Cool Dog Ranch requires an evaluation for every dog visiting with us. First step is to complete our client forms and email the forms to us. The client forms can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Along with the forms, you must provide your dog's current vaccination records. (Note: We do require a Rabies Certificate.). Once we receive all of the paperwork, we can schedule an evaluation time.
During the meet and greet, we will ask you to share pertinent information about your dog's personality, behaviors, habits, medical issues, etc. We find that the more we know about each of our dogs, the better we can cater to his/her needs. We will also show you around to the accessible parts of the facility, so you can have an idea of how our operations run.
If we feel the need to observe your dog's social behavior, we may want to introduce your dog into the playgroup to further evaluate your dog's social behavior and playing style. Once the evaluation is complete, you will be all set to make reservations for daycare and boarding.
